
WORLD ENERGY COUNCIL (WEC)
EFNZ is a member of the World
Energy Council (WEC), which is based in London. The WEC is a global,
multi-energy organization with significant support from private companies,
public utilities, governments, academia, and prominent individuals in close to
100 countries, including all of the major energy production and consumption
markets.
As a member of the World Energy Council, the Energy Federation:
- Liaises with similar international organisations;
- Participates in international projects on energy
issues;
- Disseminates World Energy Council information in New
Zealand;
- Promotes representation from New Zealand at World
Energy Council meetings;
- Supplies information on the activities of World
Energy Council;
- Participates in World Energy Council Studies
Committees.
